Powerful New Upgrades Make New Gray Eagle 25M the Most Capable Army UAS Ever
The U.S. Army is the nation's force for decisive action — which means it needs systems that give its soldiers a decided advantage on the battlefield.
Gray Eagle 25M (GE 25M) is a new addition to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc.’s (GA-ASI's) family of combat-ready unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) that is both survivable and relevant against peer threats of today and tomorrow.
GE 25M delivers the same unmatched persistence of the proven Gray Eagle Extended Range UAS and more, including a new reliable HFE 2.0 engine, modernized data links, an expeditionary ground control capability, and GA-ASI’s cutting-edge EagleEye radar, which offers a range five times greater than that of previous sensors. All this added capability enables forces to rapidly deploy and conduct long-range, high-endurance Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition (RSTA) missions in large-scale contested zones. GE 25M also provides enhanced electronic threat resilience with anti-jam GPS and SATCOM, upgraded vision-based navigation, standoff survivability using long-range sensors, and Air-Launched Effects (ALEs), which enhance its ability to detect, disrupt, penetrate, and counteract targets hundreds of kilometers deep within hostile areas.
Using the Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), the Future Airborne Capability Environment® (FACE) Approach, and the Army C5ISR/Electronic Warfare Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS), GE 25M can rapidly integrate innovative capabilities from any other supplier as an internally or pod-mounted sensor. This versatility allows GE 25M to adapt at the speed of threats more affordably than any other platform in its class, leveraging such advantages as cutting-edge multi-INT sensors and the ability to deploy ALEs.
A fully equipped GE 25M is uniquely suited for all phases of large-scale combat operations. Its effects will disrupt adversaries in complex ways and allow forces to efficiently conduct Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB), long-range precision targeting, and terrestrial and maritime moving target tracking – making GE 25M the ultimate enabler for the deep fight and tactical edge effects. Best of all, it’s ready today.
GE 25M is designed as a low-cost, low-risk solution configurable for multiple critical missions, including but not limited to:
